About this activity
Upon your arrival, our team will make you travel in a flamenco atmosphere by telling you, over a coffee or a drink, the history of this folklore born in the 13th century. This introduction will allow you to understand its origin and importance within the region.
Then, you will discover some flamenco outfits, and you will try a sevillana traje on, that is to say, the Feria dress. Princess outfit or quite simply traditional outfit, the Feria dress is what reflects the best the image that we have of the Andalusian woman, dressed with colourful jewellery, manton (fringed shawls) and a peina (traditional comb)… The outfit is noble, magnificent magical, full of stories and codes, and has become the flamenco emblem and the Andalusian culture symbol across the world.
Your flamenco outfit is composed of:
-mantón de manila: fringed shawl, often embroidered with colourful flowers or birds.
-jewellery: rounded earrings, necklaces, bracelet, or pins… with a high colour
- flowers or peineta, to append around a bun or in the hair.
The low bun, with flowers (roses or carnation), is the traditional hairstyle that enables to clear the face and highlight the depth of the eyes and the tragic spirit. Meticulous and accessorized, the Flamenco bun makes the face sparkling.
A beauty-enhancing will end the preparations, with an elegant makeup.
The idea is to emphasise the eyes with black or grey eyeshadow, to put a line of dark pencil near the superior and inferior lashes then a little of mascara. As final touches, the red lipstick.
You are now ready to be photographed and to create your personalised and authentic souvenir.
