Suzhou Ancient Garden and Zhouzhuang Water Town Private Day Tour from Shanghai

After picking up at the hotel, we will drive to Suzhou and our first stop will be the famous Lion Grove Garden (Shizilin). The Lion Grove garden was first built in 1342 by the Monk Tianru and other disciples in memory of their teacher.The garden is famous for its rockery, which is mostly made of limestone taken from Taihu lake. It is one of the four greatest gardens and representative classic gardens in Suzhou City. Next, we move to the Suzhou Folk Custom Museum to see the masses’ customs and habits formed in thelong-term production and livelihood. Then we head to the No.1 Silk Factory, passing by Grand Canal.

After lunch, we will go to visit the water village of Zhouzhuang and board a Chinese-style gondola to cruise the town's beautiful waterways. Zhouzhuang's simple, well-preserved architecture dates back more than 900 years. You can soak up the charming water town scenery of Zhouzhuang Water Village while riding on a boat on the waterways.
