Day 1: Shanghai City Tour - Yu Garden & the Bund & Shanghai Museum

Stop At: The Bund (Wai Tan), Zhongshan East 1st Road, Shanghai China
Meet your personal tour guide at your hotel lobby at 9:00 am, start the city exploration from the Bund. For a century, the Bund has been one of the most recognizable symbols and the pride of Shanghai. The architecture along the Bund is a living museum of the colonial history of the 1800s. You've never been to Shanghai if you haven’t seen the Bund.

Stop At: Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan), 201 Ren Min Da Dao, Shanghai China
Shanghai Museum (closed on Mondays) is a large and renowned museum collecting over 120,000 precious artistic relics from more than 5,000 years ago to the Qing dynasty. Besides the marvelous bronze, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphies, those valuable jades, coins, Chinese seals, furniture, sculptures, exhibitions of minority nationalities also offer you the best chance to understand the profound Chinese history and culture.

Yu Garden, built in Ming Dynasty, is a pleasant and well contained classical Chinese garden.

Stop At: Jade Buddha Temple, 170 An Yuan Road, Shanghai China
Jade Buddha Monastery, one of the most famous Buddha religious temples, is situated in Shanghai, which is a modern, bustling city in China. It attracts many visitors locally and overseas to Shanghai every year, especially during the Chinese New Year.

Stop At: Shanghai World Financial Center, Building 1, No.100 Century Ave, Pudong New Area, Shanghai China
Shanghai World Financial Center is a symbol of commerce and culture. Shaped by the intersection of two sweeping arcs and a square prism, its 94th to 100th floors are visitors' square and observatory. You will lift up to the 100th floor for a panoramic view of modern Shanghai. After that, be driven back to your hotel.

Day 2: Shanghai - Suzhou - Tongli Water Town - Shanghai

Stop At: Humble Administrator's Garden, No.178 Northeast Road, Pingjiang District, Suzhou 215001 China
At around 8:30 am, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and head for Suzhou, a historical city famous for elegant Suzhou gardens. Firstly, you will visit the Humble Administrator's Garden - the best representative of its class.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Tongli Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou 215217 China
You will spend about 1 hour at No.1 Silk Factory to see how the glossy silk is processed from small cocoons.

Later, set off to Tongli – a quiet water town only about 30 minutes to Suzhou by car. Either cruising on the canal or walking along the narrow alleys (boat ticket included), you will see many old buildings or the locals washing clothes beside the canals. After the tour, another 2.5 hours' drive will take you back to Shanghai.
