Stop At: Beisita, No.652 Renmin Road, Suzhou China

The Beisita Pagoda is the highest point of the Ancient City District. It is a traditional Chinese pagoda located at Bao'en Temple in Suzhou.The current design of the pagoda structure was made between the years 1131 and 1162 and the base of the pagoda has an octagonal frame, and the tower rises nine stories in a total height of 76 m (249 ft). Its base and outside walls are made of bricks, the balustrades made of stones, and the eaves and banisters encircling the structure are made of wood.

Stop At: Pingjiang Road, Pingjiang District, Suzhou China

Located in the center of Suzhou City, Pingjiang Road is the largest and best-preserved historical block in Suzhou. It’s a 1.6km-long narrow road along the old canal, Pingjiang River, still maintaining its ancient Chinese water town features.

Many small alleys intersect Pingjiang Road, Along the alleys are many old residential areaswhere celebrities used to live. Nowadays they have been changed to bars, teahouses, and cafes, while still maintaining their former appearances.

Seventeen stone bridges have stood over the river near Pingjiang Road for hundreds of years.

Lunch will be arranged at a local nice restaurant on Pingjiang Road for you to try some local delicious dishes.

Stop At: Panmen Gate, No.1 East Street, Canglang District, Suzhou 215002 China

In the afternoon your guide will take you to the famous scenic spot Panmen,which is known for its three landmarks “Ruiguang Pagoda”, the earliest pagoda in Suzhou built in 247, “ Wu Gate Bridge”, the entrance to the gate at that time over the water passage and the highest bridge in Suzhou at the time, and the unique water-and-land gate in China “Pan Gate”. It is a historical landmark in Suzhou and located on the south-west corner of the main canal or encircling canal of Suzhou. Originally built during the Spring and Autumn period in the state of Wu, historians estimate it to be around 2,500 years old.

Then you will go to visit the No.1 Silk Factory in Suzhou which was originally built in 1926 and is a popular national tourism demonstration site,showing the miraculous silkworm planting, the elegant silk exhibition hall, the rich silk reeling production and the exquisite silk production. It has 7000 square meters of silk shopping malls for you to shop around and buy some real silk products.
