Our English-speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Shanghai city centre at 9:00 am.

You will drive for around 90 minutes to Fengjing, located 60 Km (35 miles) from Shanghai. Fengling is one of the historical water towns in the area, with over 52 well-preserved old bridges and a famous romantic long corridor that connects the whole town. Your guide will explain to you all the details of this town, including the different Ming and Qing dynasty architectures you will see. One of the most famous spots is the Jingdi Mansion, where you can learn about the Ancient Examination System and the history of this town. Another historical site you will visit is the Chinese wedding culture museum, that tells about the traditional customs of a Chinese wedding and how the tradition has changed during the centuries.

After the visit, you will also enjoy a traditional Chinese cuisine lunch in a local restaurant. On the way back to Shanghai you will visit a Silk Factory, so you can see the process of making silk products which are very popular in Chinese traditional culture. The factory also has a shop where if you wish you can buy some souvenirs to bring back home.

The last stop is the Bounded Feet Museum. This private museum boasts the widest collection of ancient shoes. China has a long history of shoes culture, the material varies from the leather to straw, or even the silk. Different shoes represent the different social positions. Let's follow the collector and listen to his stories.

Then you will be driven back to your hotel in Shanghai city centre.
