Historical Walk in French Concession

Itinerary

Firstly, we will show you the historical Zhongshan Park and Dongzhujun’s former residence. We will introduce you the story of this legendary woman.
Then we will visit the children’s Palace of Changning District, which used to be a palace of Baozhining, former president of Shanghai Jiaotong University, built to marry his wife. It also used to be an important stronghold for Wang Puppet Regime.
Our next spot is the Yuyuan Public Market, a convenient neighborhood with stores with all kinds of functions.
Afterward, we will pass by the Yuyuan Department Store. It’s extremely popular online because of its unique decoration. Across the street, we can see the British villas. They were kept well from last century till now.
Next to the British villas, there’re a couple of Jewish villas. You can discover the diversity of Yuyuan Road by the architectures on the street.
Then we will arrive at the lane of special agents. In this lane live many top executives of Wang Puppet Regime. You can see the complicated structures of these lanes. It is said that this structure was built for them to escape more conveniently.
Our last spot is the Rockefeller Mansion.
