10:30 – 11:40 Lingering Garden
Known as one of the top four ancient gardens in China and a world heritage listed by UNESCO, the Lingering Garden is a must-visit attraction in Suzhou. The plants, pavilions, pools and rockery are the highlights in the garden. Sometimes there may be flower festivals in the garden. Besides, there is a garden museum, where you can learn about the history of ancient Chinese gardens.

11:40 – 12:10 Rickshaw Tour on the Pingjiang Road
Hop on a traditional Chinese rickshaw and set off along the Pingjiang Road, a historical site in Suzhou. All old houses on the road were built beside a small river. Some of them are now bars or art shops. You can admire both water town view and art work on your rickshaw.
12:20 – 13:20 Local Lunch
We recommended you have lunch in a dumpling restaurant. It is small but the food is delicious. However, feel free to tell us if you have other ideas.

14:10 – 16:30 Tongli Water Town Exploration
After 40 minutes’ car ride, you will arrive at Tongli Water Town, the highlights of today’s tour. The Tongli Water Town is smaller compared to other water towns near Shanghai, but its water town view is second to none. It is said walking through the three small bridges in the water town will bring good luck to you. Besides the water town view and culture, the Tuisi Garden is another factor to make Tongli a better option than other water towns, because the garden is a world heritage site. Compared to other ancient gardens in Suzhou, it is smaller but more exquisite. After the tour, you will be transferred to the city of Shanghai, which takes around two hours.
