Meet your guide at your hotel lobby at 9:00 am and begin your Shanghai tour. Below is the attraction list for you, and choose few places that you want to see the most:
• Yu Garden, was first built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. The garden was the largest and most prestigious of its era in Shanghai.
• Bund or Riverside Promenade is a waterfront area in central Shanghai. The best place in the city to enjoy the contrast picture of Modern Shanghai and Classical Colonial Shanghai.
• Peace hotel (Sassoon House), was built by Sir Victor Sassoon, of the Sassoon family, which built a Shanghai business and real estate empire in the early 20th century in Shanghai.
• Former French Concession: You can choose among Fuxing Park,, Tianzifang or XinTianDi area to visit.
• Museum: Shanghai Museum, Propaganda Museum, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall
• Temple: Jade Buddha Temple, Confucius Temple, Longhua Temple
• City skyscrapers: Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Tower, Jinmao Tower and etc..
• M50 Contemporary Art Museum
• Other attractions: feel free to discuss with your friendly tour guide about it.

After your full day tour is finished, you guide will send you back to the hotel.

We used Melody Tours for two tours in Shanghai and they were both fabulous! The first was the Shanghai Private Customized Day Tour. We chose to go to the Yu Garden, Old Town, Bund, and French Concession. Our guide, Kelly (Ping Ping) was friendly, very knowledgeable and spoke fluent English. She was happy to accommodate our son who was on crutches, and even taught us several words in Chinese. This is a great tour and we definitely recommend it. The second tour was traditional Shanghai dinner followed by the Huangpu River Cruise. This was a highlight of our two week China tour. The lights of the city are spectacular, especially when reflecting off the river and I highly recommend doing this tour if you are in Shanghai. Our guide arranged VIP seats at the front of the boat, which was great as the boat was quite full and we wouldn't have gotten the amazing photos that we did without being in the VIP section. Overall we are very happy with the tours we took with Melody Tours, and will definitely ask for our guide Ping Ping when we come back.

Excellent. Kelly was extremely knowledgeable and could answer every question we asked, no matter how random! She was also very understanding and patient with my parents who are slower paced and need time to walk. We never felt rushed or like we were missing out. It was a lovely day out and I'd recommend her to anyone interested in learning as much as possible about China.

Our day tour of Shanghai was wonderful. Our guide, Jamie, was very professional. We learned a lot about Shanghai and China’s history and culture. Jamie was very flexible and customized our tour to our exact desires. It was a very pleasant experience.
