Private Dumpling Cooking Class and French Concession Tour

You will get a literal taste of the food culture of Shanghai in this food tour. You will first take a tour around the different streets of Shanghai to sample their street food. You can go around the former French Concession, and taste the Chinese street food staples of dumplings and Chinese buns. Expect to taste various flavors, as the different stalls all have their own take on the two same type of dim sum (dumplings).

After walking around the French Concession, your guide will then take you to a cooking class handled by a local chef. During the cooking class, you will be taught how to make Shen Jian Bao. Shen Jian Bao is a fried dumpling that has soup inside. Aside from simply teaching you how to create the dish, the chef would also discuss various cooking principles such as the difference between the cooking styles of the Chinese and Western world.

Lastly, head out once more on foot and follow your guide to the nearby Shanghai's Wet Market to see where the locals shop for their groceries.
