About this activity
From Shanghai, your guide will drive you to Zhujiajiao, an ancient water village on the outskirts of the city. Zhujiajiao’s settlement dates back 1,700 years, when it was an important trading town for rice and cloth.
Stroll down the streets and admire architecture from the Ming and Qing dynasties; then walk across some of the 36 stone bridges that emphasize Zhujiajiao’s traditional style. Wander past the quaint shops in the center of town, and relax by the river under beautiful willow trees. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to Shanghai.
Your guide will drive you to the Oriental Pearl Tower, a television tower in Shanghai located in the Pudong district, next to the Huangpu River. The Oriental Pearl Tower features 11 spheres of different sizes, with the two largest spheres resembling pink and silver rubies. The tower’s design gives an impression of pearls of various sizes dropping onto an emerald plate. Ascend to one of the tower’s 15 observatory levels for spectacular views of the city.
Finally, finish your day at the Shanghai History Museum, located in the basement of the Oriental Pearl Tower. The exhibits and artifacts trace the history of old Shanghai, with an emphasis on the time period from 1860 to 1949. Exhibits include models of Shanghai’s famous buildings, a vehicle collection with trolley cars and embroidery pieces.

I was traveling solo in Shanghai for a few days and wanted to see as much of the important areas of the city as possible. This tour was a great option and Jerry was a fantastic tour guide, providing informative information on the both the Pearl Tower, Shanghai's History, and Zhujiajiao. He also provided a locals perspective on many of the areas which was helpful for someone who was visiting the Country for the first time. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is traveling solo or in a group.
UNFORGETABLE AND MAGIC !!!!!!!
