Saturday Night Life Pub Crawl Shanghai

First off, this is a great concept and a great way to get to know new people. It is also very reasonably priced. The bar where you meet up is a lot of fun, very cosy. However, in my trip we lost about half of our group in the 3rd venue. Probably in part due to their own negligence, but the group leader did very little to keep the group together or start the search. On the bus he claimed they wanted to remain at the club, with a lost member calling in seconds later and having to run a few yards to catch the just departed bus. So I don't really know what to make of it: if those people wanted to stay at the 2nd club and take the risks of getting back to the hotel by themselves, that's fine. Otherwise I dread the idea of leaving potentially drunk non-Chinese speaking foreigners alone in a club outside of the center of Shanghai. Entering the 4th and last club was also very chaotic with said reserved table nowhere to be found. It was also way too crowded, overpriced with way too loud music. Some might go for that, but to me it felt out of sorts. So if you're in Shanghai on a Saturday evening, maybe give it a go, but bring a hotel card with the adress for your cab home.
