Start your day with the beautiful Yu Garden, a masterpiece of Chinese garden design. Commissioned by a rich Chinese family as a private garden during the Ming dynasty, it is nowadays open to the public. Stroll through the picturesque miniature world of lotus ponds, winding paths and traditional pavilions. Afterwards, go for a little walk in the neighboring bazaar of the Old City of Shanghai.

In the afternoon you will visit the Jade Buddha Temple, named after its two famous Buddha statues carved out of jade. The tour continues to the Xintiandi quarter, the former French concession area which has been excellently reconstructed.
