Small-Group Jewish Heritage Walking Tour from Shanghai

Start your day with a pickup from your downtown Shanghai hotel lobby by your guide. Make your way to the Fairmont Peace Hotel, which was built in 1956 by Sir Victor Sassoon. While you are there, be sure to enjoy the view, as the hotel overlooks the Huangpu River. Afterwards, your guide will walk with you towards the Hongkou district. Then your guide will show you where the former Shanghai Jewish ghetto was located, which was once one of the poorest areas in the past.

Firstly, see the site of the Ohel Moishe Synagogue, which is the center of the Jewish Ghetto, it is now a Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum. In here, you will see some photographs and personal items that document the lives of these refugees before. Afterwards, your tour guide will take you to visit the home of where Sir Kadoorie used to live. Then, you will take a walk in the Huoshan Park. Stroll along Zhoushan Road, formerly known as Chushan Road, then you will transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai.
