Zhouzhuang and Jinxi Water Town Day Tour from Shanghai

Known as the best water town in China, Zhouzhuang attracts thousands of tourists by its water town atmosphere and ancient relics.
Lots of stone bridges built around 500 years ago are reserved very well in Zhouzhuang. The Twin Bridges are the most renowned among these stone bridges. Looked like an ancient Chinese key, the Twin Bridges enjoy a reputation of the key of Zhouzhuang. Local people believe walking through the twin bridges means getting the key to the door to happiness. The inverted reflection of the twin bridges and the bridges themselves form a perfect circle, which offers good photo opportunity to tourists.
The Zhang and Shen Halls, two renowned anciet private mansions in Zhouzhuang, were built by rich merchants around 400 years ago. The deep cultural atmosphere and luxury life are reflected by the exquisite decorations of the rooms and courtyards of the two halls.
 
The Jinxi Water Town is less crowded and commercialized than most other water towns near Shanghai. All the water town views can also be seen in Jinxi. Compared to Zhouzhuang, you will have a quieter environment to admire the panting-like scenery of Jinxi.
The Bricks and Tiles Museum is a must-visit place in Jinxi. Over 1,000 pieces of bricks and tiles are collected in the museum. The oldest one was made over 10,000 years ago. The carvings on these bricks and tiles are priceless artwork.
