Stop At: Bunratty Castle Hotel, BW Signature Collection, Castle Hotel, Bunratty West, Bunratty, Co. Clare, V95 DW9N, Ireland

Your tour pickup point is at Bunratty Castle Hotel, which is next to the world-famous Bunratty Castle. The pickup departure time is 9:00am and you are advised to be at the hotel for 8:45am to avoid any delays or stress!

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Doolin2Aran Ferries, Doolin Pier, Ballaghaline, Doolin, Co. Clare, Ireland

Once on board the ship departs from Doolin for Inis Oirr (also called Inisheer) which is the closest of the 3 Aran Islands to the mainland. The trip to this island can take as little as 15 minutes on board our newest ship, the Star of Doolin, and no more than 25 minutes on one of our other vessels. En route to the island, you will pass 2 landmarks - the lighthouse and the Plassey shipwreck

Stop At: Inishere Lighthouse, Province of Connacht Ireland

This lighthouse is now automated, but it is a beautiful walk or cycle to the lighthouse down tiny roads, lined by ancient stone walls. It is not possible to access the inside of the lighthouse

Stop At: Plassey Wreck, Province of Connacht Ireland

The Plassey was destroyed during a storm in March 1960, en route to Galway. Every crewman on board was brought to safety by the islanders in a dramatic rescue. The ship was then thrown up beyond the high tide mark in another storm and left there to rust its way into the history books. The shipwreck is famous for being featured in the opening credits of the TV show Fr. Ted.

Stop At: St. Caomhan’s Church, Province of Connacht Ireland

St Caomhan's Church is located in the spectacularly beautiful graveyard which is on a little hill overlooking the sand dunes close to the main beach on the island. The island's patron saint is also buried in this graveyard. The little church looks as if it has sunken into the ground, in fact the sand has just blown in around it over the centuries. It is said that if you can fit through the window in St Caomhan's church, you will go straight to heaven!

Stop At: O'Brien's Castle, Province of Connacht Ireland

O'Brien's castle is from the Medieval period of the island's history, built some time in the late 12th century. The castle is built within the walls of an even older dwelling, Dun Formna, which dates from the Early Medieval time and was the home of the island's chief.

Stop At: Inisheer Hotel (Óstán Inis Oírr), Inis Oírr Aran Islands, Inisheer, Co. Galway, Ireland

The hotel is one of several options for a tasty lunch while you are on the island before leaving for your Cliffs of Moher Cruise.

Stop At: Cliffs of Moher, Lislorkan North Latitude: 52.9714578 Longitude: -9.4247540, Liscannor Ireland

At 13.45 you will depart the island for your Cliffs of Moher cruise, where you will have unforgettable views of these prehistoric giants. There are nesting seabirds in the protected colonies along the cliffs, and our crew will be happy to point out the various species, including Puffins! Often times, a pod of dolphins will accompany the boat, playing in the wake of the engines. Also visible on this cruise is the seacave featured in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Stop At: Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience, Lislorkan North, Liscannor, Co. Clare, Ireland

Once back on land, the tour will continue to the Visitor Centre at the top of the Cliffs of Moher. Here you will have time for refreshments and shopping as well as experiencing the views from the top.
