Chianti Sculpture Park

The Chianti Sculpture Park is located in Tuscany about 7 miles north of Siena. Over a mystical wooded area of 7 hectares, the Parco Sculture del Chianti is a collection of site-specific sculptures and installations created by artists from over 25 countries.

The area is famous worldwide for its beautiful hilly landscape, its vineyards, and the evergreen olive trees and cypress trees.

Each artist has been invited to visit the wood in order to choose a location and subsequently submit a site-specific proposal. This accounts for the harmony of the sculptures with the trees, the sounds, the colors, the light, and other elements of the wood. In fact, these man-made works do not extend beyond the limits of nature; rather, they integrate with it and enhance it. Another characteristic of the Park is the diversity of cultures, represented by artists from all over the world and finally, a great variety of materials is employed by those artists.
