Siena family tour for children and adults

Together with our local guides your family will discover the wonders of Siena. The tour will begin in Piazza del Campo, where the world's famous Palio horse race takes place twice a year. We will reveal the secrets behind the race, learn about the medieval times in Siena, about the shell-shaped square and the “Good Government” of Siena, as well as about the majestic Palazzo Pubblico. 

The guide will show you the most characteristic and picturesque streets, linked to the most important historical moments and figures of the city. We will chose roads accessible for baby strollers and buggies.

During the tour you will discover who the Mangia (big eater) was, and why the main tower of Siena is named after him, and know the story of Ascanio and Senio, that according to the legend founded the city. A story of Saint Catherine's life will be told, full of miracles and amazing facts. We will stop then in front of the ex-hospital Santa Maria della Scala, as pilgrims in Siena did in the ancient times.

At the end of the tour you will enjoy a home made gelato and play a game dedicated to the Sienese Contradas and the Palio, so you can choose one that you like most.
