Hidden Corners of Siena Private Walking Tour

After meeting your guide at the departure point at either 10 am or 3 pm, you will head to Piazza del Campo. From there, you will walk through the old Ghetto, the Tower District (Contrada della Torre), and through little alleys, and then reach the Basilica dei Servi, from which point you can enjoy an amazing view of the old town.

Your next stop is Orto dei Pecci; a pleasant and easily accessible garden, located just behind the main square. The serenity and tranquility of this green oasis, together with the view of the incredible Torre del Mangia will mesmerize you.

A few more steps along one of the most authentic and fascinating streets of Siena Via Duprè will take you to another green space: Orti dei Tolomei, Castelvecchio, a group of houses enclosing a square, which is your next site. This is the highest point of Siena, where the city was founded.

Before ending the tour, you will visit Museo di Contrada in order to better understand the history of one of the oldest horse races in the world: the Palio of Siena. Lastly, you will experience the stunning Cathedral and the old Siena hospital, currently a museum complex. After the tour, you will return to your original departure point.
