Meet in the morning at Porta Romana's gate, one of the ancient gates of Siena, and travel by car into the hills to some of the secret spots of truffle hunting. For larger groups we always recommend to have a car on your own or to organize a private driver service.
In winter truffle may beway harder but as much satisfying. Join Alessandorand his dogs in a real treasure hunt in valleys and willow tree woods searching for white truffles. You will learn the secrets of a professional truffle hunter, starting from the dogs' training up to the amount of patience needed for a truffle hunting. An interpreter in your chosen language will be ready to answer all of your questions and curiosities, while following Alessandro and his dogs in the wild surrounding of Siena.
At the end of the hunt, you will be invited to Alessandro's shop, Siena Tartufi, for a free tasting of truffle-based products, while surrounded by one of the most beautiful Italian landscapes: Piazza del Campo, Siena's historical and cultural heart.
It is possible to organize a truffle-based lunch on request.
