Tuscany Highlits: Day Trip San Gimignano, Pisa, Florence, Chianti with Winery

Enjoy the scenic drive through the Tuscan countryside from the comfort of your private vehicle. You’ll reach San Gimingano, where the skyline made up of the 14 remaining towers and the views from above and below them will stun you and make you feel like you have stepped back in time. San Gimignano rises on a hill (334m high) dominating the Elsa Valley with its towers which date back to the 11 century. Once in San Gimignano, you will also see the "Duomo" or Collegiate Church, the "Palazzo del Popolo", the "Palazzo Nuovo del Podesta" (which is now the town hall), S. Agostino Church, the Museum of Holy Relics, and the infamous Museum of Torture, which displays early instruments of torture. On a lighter note, there are numerous shops which sell local products including the Vernaccia wine.
Move on to Florence to expore Florence Centre, the "Duomo", Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza Pitti and Ponte Vecchio.
Move on to PIsa. 
Pisa, the birthplace of Galileo Galilei, is famous for its architectural works of art and has a lot to offer. It is situated in a vast plain on a level with the sea and divided in two by the River Arno. The first place to visit in Pisa is the "Field of Miracles", where Pisa’s numerous legendary monuments stand: the Leaning Tower, the cathedral, the "Campo Santo" cemetery, the Baptistery, and the cathedral museum. A few years ago, after a long restoration, the tower was reopened and now you can go to the top to admire the view. Other amusing sights include: Museo delle Sinopie and Museo Nazionale di S. Matteo , the Knights' Square or Piazza dei Cavalieri - the church of Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri, the botanical garden Orto botanico di Pisa, the Gothic church of Santa Maria della Spina, The Palazzo Reale – The Royal Palace, Museo dell'Opera del Duomo.
Following the "Wine Road" between vineyards and olive trees, you will reach Greve in Chianti, a small village, where you’ll find a monument to Giovanni da Verrazzano, the explorer who discovered the New York Harbour. See Piazza Matteotti with its porticoes, the Santa Croce church, the San Francesco convent and a series of typical, tiny, local shops and wine-cellars.
 
In Greve there is also the enoteca "Le Cantine di Falorni" where you will be able to taste not only more than 100 different wines, but also olive oil, vin santo and grappa, all produced in the Chianti area - a showcase for the region's wines and “Macelleria Falorni”. You can also stop at the Bonollo grappa distillery and at Montefioralle, a small village above Greve, which still preserves its medieval architectural appearance.
 
After Greve, you will depart for the magnificent Castle of Monterinaldi, situated on top of a hill between Greve and Radda, in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine production area.
