Day 1: Arrival in Cluj-Napoca

Day 2: Cluj-Napoca – Sighișoara – Bran – Brașov

Stop At: Sighisoara Historic Center, Piata Cetatii Nr.1 Center of Sighisoara, Sighisoara 545400 Romania
You will see the Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill, the Citadel, the former defensive towers and walls of the city and the birthplace of the Walachian leader Vlad Dracul, who later became known as Count Dracula in Gothic literature and film. We are invited to a traditional schnapps tasting in a local guest house.

The Bran Castle Museum is located on the former border between Transylvania and Walachia. Also known as the Dracula Castle, it was built in 1377 to safeguard the trading route between Transylvania and Walachia, enlarged and restored a few times since then. This castle is known as the homestead of Vlad Țepeș (Vlad the Impaler) and it’s the most visited attraction in Romania.

Day 3: Bran – Brașov – Sâmbăta de Sus – Rășinari

Stop At: Brasov Historical Center, Piazza Sfatului, Brasov Romania
During our city tour in Brașov we will see the city square and the historic monuments of the city. The main attraction is the Black Church, built in the 14th century in the Gothic style. Here we’ll also find a large collection of Oriental carpets, unique in Europe.

Stop At: Făgăraș Fortress, Strada Mihai Viteazul 1, Făgăraș 505200, Romania
We’ll travel along the most beautiful side of the Carpathian mountain range to get to Făgăraș. Here, we will visit the medieval fortress in the middle of the city.

Stop At: Sâmbăta de Sus Monastery, DC79, Stațiunea Climaterică Sâmbăta 507267, Romania
In Sâmbăta de Sus we will visit a spectacular orthodox monastery set right at the foothills of the imposing Făgăraș mountains.

Day 4: Sibiu

Stop At: Big Square (Piata Mare), Sibiu Romania
A walk through the city centre will take you along narrow alleys, old bargain houses, palaces, churches and towers. Among others you’ll visit the following sights in the historical centre: the Evangelical Church, the Council Tower, the Large and the Small Square, the Liars’ Bridge, the Peasants’ Market etc. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 5: Rășinari – Turda – Cluj-Napoca

Stop At: Citadel of Alba Iulia, Calea Motilor, nr. 5A, Alba Iulia 510134 Romania
We will visit the Habsburg city of Alba Iulia, an impressive baroque fortress.

Stop At: Salina Turda, Aleea Durgăului 7, Turda 401106, Romania
This mine, dating from the 17th century was a decisive factor in the development of this town from Roman times until today and is now a veritable history museum of salt mining.
Duration: 2 hours
