About this activity
Our driver will pick you up from your beach hotels around 9:30am and then enjoy a 30 minute boat ride to Monkey Beach. Also known as Teluk Duyung, the beach is situated in the Penang National Park in the North-western Coast of the Island. It is one of the few pristine beaches left on the Island. As its name suggests, the beach is inhabited by monkeys of the crab-eating macaque species. A variety of fauna and flora can be found within the park including green turtles, flying squirrels, flying lemurs and over 150 species of birds. On the beach itself the white-bellied sea eagle can often be spotted.
Free at your own leisure to swim or just laze around the beach while enjoying the sea breeze. Or try your luck fishing using the hand line fishing method. Enjoy the BBQ lunch before head back to your hotel.

Beautiful beach, great boat ride with entertaining boat driver. Caught several small fish and saw several sea eagles. BBQ on the beach was very nice. The water was warm and safe. The only thing e didn’t see was monkeys!
