We begin our tour walking by the Tekka Market before crossing Serangoon Road to Little India Arcade.

Stop At: Little India Arcade, 48 Serangoon Rd, Singapore 217959 Singapore

Our first stop is Little India where we will be visiting the Little India Arcade to see and feel the rich Indian culture through the many stalls and shops. We will explain the origins of the Indian community in Singapore and their cultural practices through food, fashion and artefacts.

Pass By: Campbell Lane, Singapore Singapore

We will be exploring Campbell Lane and check out the fruit and vegetable stands. After that, we will walk over to Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple.

Stop At: Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, 141 Serangoon Road, Singapore 218042 Singapore

We will enter Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, one of Singapore’s oldest Hindu temples. Dedicated to the goddess Kali, the embodiment of the god Shiva’s wife, Parvati. Inside this beautiful temple, we will get to see the various gods and deities of the Hindu pantheon. While admiring the beautiful figurines and cravings, we will also take the opportunity to learn more about Hinduism - one of the great world religions.

After this, we will take a short public bus ride down Serangoon Road (fare included in tour) to the next location two bus stops away.

Stop At: Sakya Muni Buddha Gaya Temple, 366 Race Course Road, Singapore 218638 Singapore

Here at a less visited part of Little India and along Serangoon Road, we will be visiting two unique Buddhist temples, the Sakya Muni Buddha Gaya Temple and the Leong San See Temple.

Financed by the famous Aw brothers who came from Burma, the Sakya Muni Buddha Gaya Temple has an unique hybrid of both Chinese and Burmese architecture. Next, we will walk to the Leong San Temple - a magnificent Chinese Mahayana Buddhist temple built in 1925.

We will walk through the temple grounds and learn about Taoism and Buddhism.
