Private 2-day Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia KL (3 countries) tour from Singapore

2 days
About this activity
You will get to visit 3 countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia) during this guided tour.

Begin with a morning pickup at your Singapore hotel. Arrive at the harbour to board a 1-hour high-speed ferry to the Indonesian town of Batam, the largest city in the Riau Islands Province of Indonesia.

Upon arrival in Batam, you will first visit a Buddhist temple featuring the tallest Goddess Of Mercy statue in Indonesia. Next, you will visit the iconic Batam Hindu temple featuring unique Balinese architecture. After which, you will sample the famous local layer cakes at a local bakery, also affectionately known to the locals as Kueh Lapis. This fascinating Kueh Lapis is not difficult to make, but it requires time and a lot of patience. The bakers hover next to the oven for a couple of hours grilling each layer of batter. Kueh Lapis is typically served in small, thin, rich and fragrant slices.

At around lunchtime on the 1st day, you will board a 1-hour Airbus Malindo ATR flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital.

Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur, you will head to the famous Batu Caves on the edges of Kuala Lumpur. View the Hindu shrines contained within these sacred caves, and then continue into the city to the Petronas Twin Towers. The skybridge and observation deck of these world-famous towers offers bird’s-eye city views. Finally, admire five other must-sees of Kuala Lumpur - the National Palace, Sultan Abdul Samad (former supreme court and government offices of the British colonial administration), National Monument, National Mosque, and Independence Square. If time permits, you will be given some time for shopping at the Nu Sentral megamall.

At nighttime, you will board an overnight high-speed train service to the Malaysia/Thailand border at Padang Besar, where you will be brought to the Thailand town of Hat Yai for sightseeing.

You will first visit the amazing 3rd largest Sleeping Buddha in the world, measuring 35 meters long, 15 meters tall and 10 meters wide. Statues of Buddha can be found all around Thailand which is a predominantly Buddhist country. Next, you will visit the top of the Hat Yai Municipal Park to admire breathtaking city views, before hopping onto a 535 meters long cable car ride to enter the popular Elephant Temple where you will see a very beautiful large statue of a three headed elephant.

At around lunchtime on the 2nd day, you will head to the Hat Yai bus station to board a Business Class coach back to Singapore. (Note: If you like to upgrade to a non-stop flight from Hat Yai Airport back to Singapore, please kindly check with guide on the pricing on the 1st day.)

Otherwise, relax in your spacious reclinable seat as your Business Class coach handles the highway with ease. Depending on traffic conditions, you will arrive back at Singapore at around midnight where your coach will drop you off near Singapore Beach Road taxi stand.
