Raffles City is located is in the heart of the Civic District, where the colonial authorities housed many important buildings. In fact, the mall sits on the site of the city’s first colonial school - the Raffles Institution. The school was established almost 200 years ago by Sir Stamford Raffles, modern Singapore’s founder.

Pass By: Tan Kim Seng Fountain, Singapore
The fountain is a memorial to Tan Kim Seng, a wealthy merchant who was also actively involved in public life. He funded the construction of Singapore’s first public reservoir – now called MacRitchie Reservoir – which was completed in 1877.

The Padang (Malay for 'field') is an open playing field located within the Downtown Core of the Central Area in Singapore.

Stop At: Anderson Bridge, Singapore
The steel ribbed Anderson Bridge was built in 1910 to facilitate the growing traffic. Today, the bridge remains the oldest bridge across the river still open to vehicular traffic.
