This 4-hour glacier hiking and ice climbing tour is the ultimate glacier experience. Meet your certified glacier guide in Skaftafell National Park and follow them in your own vehicle to the parking lot by Svinafellsjokull Glacier, the glacier tongue where your glacier adventure will take place.

With a small group (maximum of 5 people), you'll enter the ice and make your way up towards the icefall of the glacier. The small group size allows for a more personalized experience to adjust the tour to the abilities and requests of the group. Once you have made your way up to the icefall, your guide will decide on the best location for the ice climbing. Here, everyone will get enough time to test and work on their ice climbing skills. Tour is suitable for beginners as well as for anyone who wants to improve their technique.

On your hike, you'll be walking past all the things glaciers are best known for. Big crevasses, moulins and small ice caves can be seen from a safe distance. All of this is combined with a scenic view on the large mountains that surround Skaftafell National Park.
