Half-Day ATV Shore Excursion With Glacier from Skagway

Be picked up at the cruise ship dock in morning or afternoon (depending on option chosen). Take an hour drive up the White Pass Summit, through Tormented Valley, by the shores of Tutshi Lake. Stop for photos at Bridal Veil Falls. The tour guide will provide history and background into the area along the way.

Mount up and take an uphill, 45-minute ATV ride for 3 miles to an elevation gain of about 3000 feet, with photo stops throughout. Ride through thick forest to above the tree line into the alpine tundra, and enjoy the panoramic views of several mountain peaks, Tutshi Lake, and the mining activity. Take 30-minutes to visit a hidden ten thousand year old glacier and lake, the a short hike over rocky terrain to a viewpoint.

After, take a 15-minute ATV ride from the glacier to the Lake Bennett overlook through alpine tundra where you'll enjoy 45-minute break for lunch overlooking the lake. Relax 3000 feet above the lake, overlooking the historic train tracks, a huge portion of the 25 mile long lake.

After lunch you'll descend the mountain for 45-minutes, including 15-minutess to explore an old mining campsite.

During the hour's drive back to Skagway, stop at the 'Welcome to Alaska' sign for photo opportunity before returning back to the port.
