About this activity
This tour provides 5 hours of unforgettable Montenegro shore experience. It is all about Montenegro seaside and the most popular places there. After meeting with our representative, we are heading towards Perast. Perast is a quiet and peaceful place. Especially interesting is an island near the city named Gospa od Skrpjela - Our Lady of the Rock, the only artificially constructed island in the Adriatic Sea, with a church on the island, built in 1667 . The island is 3300m2. If desired it is possible to organize a boat ride and visit to the island Gospa od Skrpjela and churches on the island built in year 1667 (not included in price of the tour) At the peak of power, Perast had two shipyards with a fleet of 100 ships and 1700 inhabitants. Today Perast has about 400 inhabitants who live mainly from fishing and working on cargo ships. In Perast, we stay for about 30 minutes. From Perast we are going on a scenic drive around the bay to Porto Montenegro. On our way to Porto Montenegro we could do photo stop, and we also take the ferry, which is one more interesting thing about this tour. Porto Montenegro is a modern, world class marina in the small town of Tivat, built by a Canadian businessman who created a peaceful jewel in this part of the world. It is constructed on the place of the old military shipyard, and now is the most popular luxury vacation resort on this part of the coast. After that, we have a ride of about 30 minutes until the first stop for photographing. The Trojica hill that offers a breathtaking view of the part of Boka Kotorska bay, cruisers, city of Kotor and its surroundings. Beautiful views of the bay guarantee that you will never forget visiting the beauties of Montenegro. From Trojica hill we start a 25 minutes ride to the town of Budva. On the way, we take a short break for shooting above Jaz Beach. Jaz Beach is part of the Budva Riviera and one of the longest beaches in Montenegro. On Jaz Beach there were by Madonna and the Rolling Stones. It is also the venue of the Sea Dance music festival. After a few minutes of driving, we will stop to view the Old Town of Budva, Mogren Beach and the island of St. Nikola near Budva. After scenic drive to St. Stefa island and short photo stop above it, we continue to Budva old town (stari grad). The Old Town was badly damaged in the devastating 1979 earthquake, but was completely rebuilt. Major renovations of the Old Town lasted eight years. In this town we will do short walking tour and than we are returning back to Kotor, where our tour ends. If you have time, we suggest you to research this beautiful medieval city. The Old Town of Kotor is a well preserved medieval urban environment typical of the towns built in the XII and XIV centuries. Kotor is the only Mediterranean city-maze, which gives to Kotor a special charm during the tourist season. The Old Town is surrounded by magnificent walls that continue to surround the Hill St Ivan (San Giovanni) with a total length of 4.5 kilometers, which is a curiosity of the world scale. The thickness of the walls is somewhere up to 15 meters and height in places up to 20 meters. View of the Kotor ramparts is one of the privileged ones in life. Regardless of whether you visit Kotor (Montenegro) approaching from land or from sea, the impression is always the same. Towns such as Kotor are simply out of this world. As an addition to this tour we suggest visiting Our Lady of the Rocks island near Perast town for a small additional fee.
