I took the 2 day tours as I found they encompassed the most exciting places to see in Bulgaria (also quite close to Sofia) and I wasn't dissapointed. Plovdiv Old Town is a quaint picturesque city and the people giving the tour are really knowleadgeable and fun, whereas the Bachkovo monastery is also not to be missed. The second tour is the highlight, I would say, as the Rila monastery is a treasure in itself (expect big crowds in summer, of course) and the trek at the Rila lakes is breathtaking (literally). I would highly recommend this tour.
