Meet us in front of Sofia Central Railway Station 30 minutes before your departure time (meeting point – under the big clock in front of the main entrance of the Station)

In this tour you’ll have a chance to try three different types of transport: Bulgarian train, the unique Rhodope Narrow Gauge and a bus. The train trip duration from Sofia to Yakoruda (excluding 30 min wait time when you switch trains at Septemvri station) approx. 4 hours and 40 minutes – one way.

You’ll have 3.5 hours for your walking tour in Yakoruda in which you’ll enjoy the local architecture, see how the locals are living, and also do a short hike to the hill over the town which has the best view of Yakoruda.

There is a local pub which we recomend at the Yakoruda train station which serves delicious local food - meatballs and fries. Or, you can also bring your own food and have a picnic at the town’s hill!

Тhe return to Sofia will be by public bus which arrives in Sofia at 20:10 pm.
