Pass By: Sofia History Museum, pl.Banski 1, Sofia 1000 Bulgaria

Your tour starts at 08:00 am. We’ll take you from your hotel or the apartment where you stay. Then we leave for the protected area – Rupite which is about 2 hours drive from Sofia

Once there, you’ll:

Visit Vanga’s home in Petrich, where she spends most of her life. She traveled every day from there to the Rupite where she received visitors. Here we will see the prophetess’s prayer room and over 3000 objects – clothing, personal belongings, photographs, gifts from people to whom Vanga helped with her predictions.

You will see photos and a portrait of Vanga herself, as well as a miraculous icon that is believed to fulfill the wishes of those who touch it.

Visit the Monument Temple “St. Petka Bulgarska ”built with funds provided by Baba Vanga.

Visit The cross, measuring 30m long and 15m wide, which is embedded in the cooled lava of the volcano.

Visit the house, sitting room and grave of the biggest Bulgarian mystic, clairvoyant, and herbalist

Visit healing mineral springs and a hot lake

Visit the Historical Museum in Petrich

Optional visit to the ruins of the ancient Thracian-Roman town – Heraclea Sintica which used to be inhabited by the Sints – ancient Thracian tribe. There, we’ll see the ruins of Roman defense fortress, a neighborhood with early – Christian basilica, trading premises and other parts of buildings.

Close to Rupite is Rozhen Monastery which we’ll visit. Beloved by Baba Vanga, she used to visit it often, spending hours in prayer and conversations with the monks. One of the most interesting and important religious and cultural centers on the territory of Bulgaria, it houses the icon “Holy Virgin Vratarnitsa (Portaitis) Iverska”. Made of ferrous iron, it is known to help with various illnesses, family problems, and childless families. It is one of the copies of a miraculous icon found 10 centuries ago in the sea of monks in Mount Athos.
