Stop At: Prohodna Cave, Karlukovo, Lovech Province

Prohodna cave (known as the Eyes of God cave) is a karst cave in Northern central Bulgaria, located in the Iskar Gorge near the village of Karlukovo. These holes are located in the middle chamber of the 262-meter-long cave, illuminating the interior and providing a uniquely framed view of the firmament above. Remarkably in size, similar in shape, and eyes in appearance, these holes are the result of natural erosive forces.

Stop At: Glozhene Monastery (Sveti Georgi Pobedonosets), Ribaritsa, Lovech Province

The Monastery existed by the 17th century, and in the beginning of the 18th century the monks built a new monastery, dedicated to St. George the Victorious, on the high rock, in order to protect it from the raids of the Ottomans.
