Panoramic Sofia Evening Tour with Bulgarian Folklore Show and Dinner

After pickup from your Sofia hotel at about 7pm, settle inside your air-conditioned coach with your guide. Then, sit back and admire Sofia’s main sights, all prettily illuminated in the darkness.

Pass the magnificent Alexander Nevski Cathedral, Bulgaria’s largest cathedral, and other impressive landmarks, including the National Library and Monument to Vasil Levski, a 19th-century Bulgarian national hero, as your guide shares tales about their history.

See the Presidency Building and Council of Ministers building, and have your camera ready for the former Royal Palace, now home to the National Art Gallery and Ethnographic Museum. Admire the floodlit golden domes of the Russian Church, and pass the Central Military Club, National Parliament building, and National Palace of Culture, the city’s vast, Soviet-era concert and exhibition hall.

After taking in the views from your coach, head to one of Sofia’s best folk-style restaurants. Hop out and take your seat in the charming interior, decorated in traditional Bulgarian style.

Then, savor a delicious Bulgarian dinner, enjoying a selection of popular national dishes. As you dine and relax, be treated to a colorful folklore show.

Discover Bulgarian traditions and watch as artistes in traditional costume perform songs, dances, and set pieces that celebrate the country’s rich culture. Clap along with the music, and while you eat and enjoy the entertainment, purchase drinks from the bar (own expense).

After about three hours enjoying the meal and show, re-board your coach, and see more of Sofia as you follow a different route back through the city.

Gaze at tree- and statue-filled Borisova Garden, Sofia’s largest park, and admire sights like the Eagles Bridge, the city’s famous 19th-century bridge flanked by four eagles.
