This walking tour starts from the emblematic building of Sofia University, the first university to be constructed in the capital after the Liberation. Strolling around the charming little streets behind the university, you will learn to recognize the different architectural styles that are embedded in the buildings around you – from gorgeous royal palaces to communist's monumental ensembles. The whole neighborhood is considered one of the most beautiful in Sofia and a gathering place for the 20th-century Bulgarian aristocracy. Your guide will lead you to a local spot where you will have the chance to try the most typical Bulgarian pastry - banitsa. After this small stop, the tour will continue, immersing you deeper into the history of this 7000 - old capital. Finally, we reach our finishing point which is the magnificent St. Nedelya Cathedral.
