Explore the Divine Amalfi Coast, sipping local wine

First thing to remember is that once you rented the car, you are totally free to arrange the trip on the spot as you prefer, also upon my suggestions on the place;

We will arrange a pick up time from your accomodation, usually between 7 and 9 am.

The order of the visits may depend according to what's closer to your accomodation, in the case below the itinerary it's imagined to start in Sorrento.

Our first stop will be Positano, but before to go into the town we will stop on a panoramic terrace where you can see the whole town from above and appreciate the Arab influence in the look of the village, eventually enjoying a little fruit snack on the spot; 

Afterwards we will go down into the center and you will have usually an hour of free roaming in the town, since from the bottom it begins the pedestrian only area, from there you will have easy access to the beach, through the characteristic narrow streets.

After that we will move towards Amalfi, with the chance of stopping in certain lookout points for making pictures, and see the Presepe of Praiano, a rappresentation of nativity traditional of the Neapolitan Area; this little masterpiece it’s a copy in scale of the town of Praiano, and it’s entirely made and yearly maintained by a local artist.

Before arriving in Amalfi we can stop in the Emerald Grotto, a cave which is connected to the outer sea through an underwater tunnel who gives the emerald colour to the water, there will be a little boat trip, inside the grotto between the stalactites and stalagmites there will be other two “Presepe”, one natural made by the stalagmites, and the other it’s underwater, maintained by local scuba divers once a year; The trip costs € 5 per person and it’s not included in my fee;

 Just in front of the entrance of the cave we have Piccadilly, one of the oldest ceramic supplier who hosts some masterpiece of the old art of pottery typical of the Amalfi Coast;

Then we will arrive in Amalfi, in which you can have usually two hours of free roaming to visit the center where you can find the main Cathedral of Amalfi, the old paper museum and enjoy the typical walks into the roads that characterize the town.

At this point it will be almost lunch time, I can give you suggestion on different places where to eat, from the Amalfi harbor to Scala, the oldest town of the Amalfi Coast which stands just in front of Ravello, the lunch is not included into my fee;

The last stop will be in Ravello, the old “Rebel town” where Wagner itself composed some parts of the Parsifal into the stunning Villa Rufolo, one of the main attraction of the town, which is characterized by its beautiful gardens, over a fantastic view on the city of Amalfi, also once a year Villa Rufolo hosts a Music Festival in honor of Wagner; according to what time will be you may have time to see Villa Cimbrione as well, the second mayor attraction of Ravello.
