We visited the towns on the Amalfi coast by boat and ferry, so the bus trip from Sorrento to Positano at least gave us a glimpse of the coastal drive, which was beautiful. But it was basically just a bus ticket to Positano, and having visited Positano the day before made it less special. So going there for a second time with little time to spare was not really worthwhile. I would reccomment this if you are short on time in Sorrento and do not have free days to visit the other coastal towns.

Cons: Too little time in Positano. We had 2 hrs in Positano for sightseeing/shopping/dinner. We were picked up 30min late. Choice of the restaurant for dinner Bucca di Baco, although the location was nice, the food was average. Convenient but pricey guided tour. Something we could have done much cheaper on our own. Pros: Small group of 20 people. Safe and convenient ride in an air-conditioned minibus. We had two stops for taking photos of panoramic views one on the way to and another from Positano. Our tour guide Roberto was great. He shared lots of interesting information on history of Positano and recommendations for points of interest.

We had a delightful evening in Positano! Had we known, we would have booked the dinner option - we found a place on our own that was not very good Avoid Chez Black on the beach - awful service and the food was not worth the price. The tour guide was lots of fun with very high energy, he showed us around town and where to go. The goal here was for them to acquaint you with Positano and the surrounding area and then let you roam around and shop, etc... Which is just what we did. Fabulous evening outside of our poor restaurant choice. We recommend finding a place with good reviews in advance.

This is a must see if your staying in Sorrento. It is a 6 hour trip into Positano were you have free time to do your own thing. We went down to the beach and had I nice tea before having a walk around town looking at all the shops. I was very happy we done this tour and didn't stay there, it is very steep, not to many flat areas, but we worth the look.

This worst excursion I had booked onto whilst staying in Sorrento. No confirmation of pick up time, multiple phone calls later and a late pick up, a rushed tour, a lot of waiting around and no clarity from the guide. I would not use this company again. Capri and the blue grotto however were stunning

This was a very expensive bus ticket. Before we booked, we asked which hotel we should go to for pick up and we were told the pick up would be at the train station near our appartement. We assumed that would also be the drop off after the tour. Wrong. Anyhow, the pick up was set for 5 o'clock, someone finally arrived at 6:15 after we made a phone call and tried to communicate with someone who spoke very little english. When we finally arrived at the bus and took our seats, the guide annonced on the intercom now that we are all finally here we can go. Need I remind you we waited 1hour and 15 minutes for the pickup... We were told that there would be a stop during the ride where we could take pictures, the bus barely slowed down at one point and that was it. During the trip, the guide gave very little information about Positano and had a anecdote about one island. Once we arrived in Positano, she led us to a corner of a street and told us we were on our own, the beach was that way and make sure your're back at the bus at 9:45. We really did not need to book a tour for that, we could have gone by bus on our own and saved a lot of money. Once back at the bus, the guide came to us in very abrupt manner to inform us that she was taking us only as far as Sorento and then we had to find a way back to Seiano on our own, at around 10:15 when the trains or buses were not in service anymore. She suggested we take a taxi and informed us it was not her responsability. The bus driver who spoke very little english understood the situation we were in and he was the one to help us, he called a friend of his that picked us up on the way and drove us almost to our front door. We thank that bus driver very much for taking such good care of us.
