Amazing hike. Great guide. If you get Nino, you are extremely lucky. Highly recommend. An awakening of the senses.

I loved this strenuous but awe inspiring hike. Roxanna was a fantastic guide. There are several spring feed water refill stations along the way. I met a goat shepherd and his donkey along the way and had a very nice surprise that made this excursion over the top!

This was a great day out on the path. We are 55 who walk to work and back but are not hill walkers. It was an easy walk and not challenging in any way as the guide set the pace or the group. There was even an option to stop for a while and then rejoin the group later. The pick up was on time and the guide was waiting for us at the appointed time. We were concerned that we would not be able to keep up but this was not a problem as it was all along paths or rock steps. The views are amazing, the guide was friendly and helpful and stressed the most important thing was to have a great day out. We were given lots of information along the way. This is th best trip I have ever taken. Loved it. The only slight disappointment was that we did not go all the way to Bomero.

Great walk on Amalfi cost.Nino was our guide and was brilliant. You need to be reasonably fit to do this. A must do if you want to see this coast from the outdoors, make sure you have comfortable footwear. The views are stunning !

Amazing views! Great experience! Would we do it again? Nope! It's A LOT of work! Maybe if we were a bit more fit! LOL! Don't get me wrong, we aren't couch potatoes, but, unless your daily life includes 10K steps and lots of squats, this is challenging! We made it to the 7km point about 2 hours in...at that point our guide warned us that the climb gets narrower and the cliff side is completely open no trees, so we decided to hang back while the rest of the group did the rest of the hike about another 50min. We enjoyed the views and took a lot of pictures and hiked back down on our own. If you are afraid of heights then this is not a hike for you. Definitely a must do for the experience as a new comer, a repeat for the avid hiker. We wanted to spend the rest of the day visiting the city of Positano, but that included hundreds of steps more actual stairs to get everywhere, our legs were jelly at the end of the tour. We made it to town, walked around for about an hour and ended up taking a taxi back to Sorrento. TIP: The buses out of Positano are a nightmare, and you need to buy the tickets before getting on the bus, then the line to get on the bus is about 2 or more hours of a wait! And that was last week, at the end of the peak season! Travel smart! Our Guide made it sound like it was super easy to get around and get on a bus back. He neglected to make us aware of how many hours we'd be waiting to get on a bus. Oh, and the Ferry wasn't operational because of the high winds that day.

This excursion is easily one of my favorites of our 10 days in Italy. The route itself is gorgeous and very manageable physically, well marked and well traveled. We had debated using public transportation to get ourselves to the path, and we are SO glad we chose to book this tour with Nino instead! A small group of 6 was picked up in the center of Sorrento and driven along the beautiful Amalfi Coast to Positano, while Nino gave us the history and explained the agriculture and terrain we were passing through. He had walking sticks and extra backpacks for anyone who needed them, and arranged for us to get water and use the bathroom before starting. As we hiked, Nino stopped at strategic points for photo ops and explanations of the ruins and land formations in the area. He detailed the way the land is still used for farming, and gave us background on the lifestyle of the people who live in the mountains and villages. Nino encouraged sampling of wild fruits and herbs that are a part of the local diet. When we reached the far end of our hike we took a break at a cool spot where we could refill our water bottles and enjoy the grapes Nino had brought along for us, then hiked back to the beginning to refresh at a mountainside cafe before beginning the drive back along the coast to Sorrento. The entire trip lasted almost 6 hours. The scenery around every bend was breath-taking, and The Path of the Gods should absolutely be on your itinerary if you are in the area. I can't suggest strongly enough that you hike the path with Nino as your guide. His knowledge of the area's history and culture, and the way the land shapes the lives of the locals, was extensive. His respect for the trail and everyone walking it was evident in the way he picked up trash, cleared stray branches and loose rocks, and advised other hikers out doing the route on their own. He paced our hike so the trip was manageable and comfortable for the varying levels of physical fitness in our group. Nino's passion for the path, the land, and it's history was extensive, and turned a pretty walk into a fascinating excursion.
