About this activity

After you have made your reservation, we will meet you on the South Padre Island beach most convenient to your location. Sand castle construction will take place close to the water, where there is nearly always a comfortable gulf breeze.

Your instructors will show you how to get to the "good sand" below the surface and a variety of methods ("soft pack", "hard pack" and "hand stacking") to build towers, walls and arches and you will learn how to carve those structures using simple, easily-replicated tools that will be provided.

If you so desire, instructors will help you create a "beach billboard" to commemorate a special occasion - such as a birthday, reunion or anniversary. Instructors can take group photos and/or video with your devices to help create a lasting memory that can be shared on social media.
