Day 1: Day 1: Split to PučišćaDay 1: Split to Pučišća

Stop At: Stone, Velo Stroda 16, Pucisce, Brac Island Croatia
After meeting your Horizon Sail Trip Manager and fellow travellers, we set sail for the town of Pučišća, on the Island of Brač. We cruise south down the Dalmatian coast while enjoying lunch with new friends, before anchoring in a beautiful bay for the first of many swims in the stunning Adriatic Sea. In the late afternoon we dock at our port for the night, with plenty of time to explore. Set at the end of a beautiful, natural bay, Pučišća was once voted one of Europe’s Prettiest Towns! Pučišća boasts some of the purest and whitest stone in Europe, and as well as being used for most of the local buildings, this famous stone was also used to build Diocletian’s Palace in Split, and the White House in Washington DC! Tonight we get to know each other over an included onboard barbecue of local grilled meats and salads, and raise a toast as the sun sets on our first day together.

We will enjoy lunch at anchor, before cruising to our port for the night at Jelsa, on the island of Hvar. This bustling town was once a significant centre for shipbuilding and trade, and from here the best wines, olive oils and dried fish from Hvar would make their way around Europe.
