Stop At: Cave Bisevo, Bisevo 21480 Croatia
The Blue Cave on the island of Bisevo is a natural pearl but was "discovered" in 1884 when an artificial entrance was built and to this day is used as the entrance of the cave. The natural cave opening is much wider and spreads like a vault on the south side below sea level. The sunlight penetrates through this opening causing specific illumination and a unique atmosphere in the cave. It is best to visit during the morning hours while the sea is quiet and the sun rays penetrate into the interior and reflect from the white bottom illuminating the cave with a blue color.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: KOMIŽA TOWN HARBOUR, Unnamed Road, 21485, Komiža, Croatia
The island of Vis is unique due to its recent past as a Yugoslav military base. As it was never conquered by the German army Tito chose Vis for his secret bay. Its strategic position, far from the mainland was ideal for military operations and hiding. In socialist Yugoslavia, the island was closed to foreigners and as such it was entirely converted into a great military fort with an allied military airport.
With more than twenty kilometres of tunnels and passages throughout the island and an underground military hospital it was the perfect hideout for Tito and other Yugoslav generals in case of an attack of the NATO forces or even a nuclear war. There are cannon openings high in the mountains and hidden bays for ships and submarines.
This isolated island had no tourism as there were more soldiers than residents on the island. After the independence of Croatia, tourists start visiting the island which conquered their hearts.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Palmizana Botanical Garden, Meneghello Estate, Hvar, Hvar Island 21450 Croatia
The Pakleni islands are one of the best places to experience and enjoy the true Mediterranean. Visit Plamizana, a small uninhabited village on the island of St. Clement. The rich plant life in the botanic garden, the sound of birds and crickets and sandy beach make this location a popular tourist oasis.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Hvar Beach, Ivana Vucetica 26, Hvar, Hvar Island 21450 Croatia
Hvar, a town with magnificent architecture, cultural heritage, beautiful nature and a mild climate, has become an unavoidable jet set place visited by many famous celebrities.
