Grand Split Walking Tour / Wine & Food Tasting

The walking part of the tour was fine, and the guide was very knowledgeable about the towns history but I had booked a combo ticket (walking/wine tour) along with other people and when I asked both guides as to which guide I should follow that would include the wine tour at the end, both looked at me like I was crazy. They didn’t know what I was talking about, and one finally was like oh yes, I’ll show you were the place is afterwards. I don’t blame them for not knowing but the company for not providing them with this information. In the tour there were also other customers that had booked different amount of time for the tour I.e. 60/75/120 min tour. And again the guide had no idea of who had what, at one point the guide says I know some of you have different time slots but if you want to stay till the end is fine by me. Finally I get to the wine part of the tour, I arrived at 3:20pm to the wine house, which come to find out the reservation was for 3pm! Again no communication from the company as to the time slot, I got scolded by the sommelier of being late and how he had to repeat the information to me again. Quite an embarrassing moment.

Jelena was a fantastic guide. A native Splitchani and knowledgeable about the history, she made Diocletian's Palace come to life!

Really enjoyed learning more about the Diocletian palace, as well as the surrounding area of Split. Our tour guide even pointed out areas where Game of Thrones was filmed in Split. The wine tasting was great, and way more than expected. 3 almost full glasses of wine, with traditional snacks. Would definitely recommend!

Geat tour. Luca was knowledgeable and funny. He gave us lots of information and local color. The tour was perfect if you are on a cruise with limited time. After the tour we had time for exploring on our own and shopping. Perfect

What an amazing introduction to Split. Our guide was a delight. He kept us thoroughly entertained throughout the tour with insider information about Split as well as the regular history. He paced the tour beautifully with enough time to look at things without rushing yet at the end of the tour we felt that we had seen and learnt a great amount. Highly recommended !!!

Our guide Natasa Dwac was wonderful. She knew the history, the art, and the architecture of the old city. She also explained current political affairs after being asked questions about it.

Excellent tour with very knowledgeable guide. Well worth the price!

My tour guide was Mio, very knowledgeable and had good sense of humor. Must do to get the basic introduction to the city. I usually start with hop-on hop-off, but Split is not designed for that type of tour, need to walk.

Very knowledgeable guide with excellent English and a good way of putting her knowledge across. We were a small group of 6 and this no doubt helped as we moved around the area.

Took the 2 hour tour with Danko- very knowledgeable guy. Very worthwhile and informative 2 hours- a great introductory overview of the history of Diocletians palace and the surrounding area.
