About this activity
Get picked up at your hotel or meet the group at the centrally located meeting point in Split or Trogir to begin this exhilarating one day tour out of the city. You’re just a short ride away from the first stop – the great city of Sibenik. This one is not only architecturally beautiful, but also historically important, so you’ll learn all about it while walking to the center of its historic core and visiting a very unique work of art – St. James Cathedral. Listen about all the unique architectural solutions of this UNESCO site while admiring its sculptural beauties. Your visit to Sibenik will be short and sweet, so after approximately one hour you will say goodbye to this beautiful coastal city and get back on the bus.

Enjoy another short ride until you reach Krka Waterfalls National Park and the welcoming natural beauty of the most fascinating part of the park – Skradinski Buk. The walking tour of the park leads you straight into a small resemble of authentically renovated stone houses – workshops, exhibits and watermill that demonstrate all the necessities needed to make a village life sustainable centuries ago. Outside of this small set of stone houses there’s a whole net of trails for visitors that lead the way across the waters of the enchanting Krka River. Explore these trails with your guide while listening about all the different herbal and animal species that call this place a home. Relax in the shades of tall trees or sit by the refreshing river and slowly take in all the beauty that surrounds you. Make the most of your time in this fascinating place and use the free time to jump into the river and swim close to one of the cascades for a very unique experience. You can also have lunch (at an additional cost) in a small restaurant inside of the park, but if you prefer not to, that’s ok too. Use your whole free time to wonder around the area, exploring every little corner and using all the perfect photo opportunities. Sightseeing cruise down the Krka river is one more extra experience you'll get on this tour.

Then say farewell to this small piece of paradise and get back on the bus. The ride back to Split leads you through some eye-catching landscapes and picturesque Dalmatian villages. After arriving in Split or Trogir you will be dropped off at the same place where you were picked up in the morning.

Our tour guide, Darijo Tavric was fantastic and made the trip very fun and interesting. He took interest where everyone was from and made funny jokes and remarks or provided stories on what he had learnt on previous tour trips. He was most helpful when at Krka Waterfalls explaining the best route and itinerary to take to take advantage of the time spent well there.

I highly recommend this day trip to everyone! The graylines company are very kind and have an intensive knowledge of krka and sibenik. Our tour guide Darijo was humerous, friendly and was very knowledgeable making the day very interesting. His knowledge of krka enabled us to view amazing aspects of the park. Krka is a must when visiting croatia and graylines made the day fabulous for my friends and myself.

The falls are beautiful however less impressive than anticipated based on write up and reviews. Very commercialized and crowded. Would not recommend this tour.

Fabulous day out. Krka is a beatiful National Park worth a visit. Beatiful place. Might be packed with tourists but that does not make it any less worthwhile. My husband and I had lunch in one of the restaurants at the park close to the famous bathing waterfalls. The price was ok and the food was delicious with very generous portions. Our guide was pleasant and made the trip run smoothly. I highly reccommend yhis visit.

We had lots of fun!! it is a beautiful Place and the town is really interesting. The Cafe is just cheap and cheerful, and we ate there independently from the group.

Loved our visit to Krka Waterfalls. It was very crowded being peak season. Despite the crowd, we were still able to swim in the beautiful water.

The tour was rubbish and over priced, Dario was very rude and pre planned a meal for us if we wanted it for 100 kuna each, the meal was disgusting, we didn't even eat it! The walking tour around Sibenik was uninteresting and again the tour guide was very rude, same with krka tour, was very short and unimpressive.

We thoroughly enjoyed this day out but don't get caught up in the special lunch the guide offers for 100Kuna - it's not that it's overly expensive it's just rubbish food and you can get a baguette or a crepe and spend more time looking around or swimming. The falls and the whole park are really stunning and all the info given about the growing travertine stone, the area and it's history was great. Even on our day which was a bit rainy, the park is absolutely jammed with people and I would suggest you take a pair of converse or similar shoes to swim in because the stone is quite sharp. Don't expect any kind of beach or to be allowed near the falls - it's a wild river and the swimming area is clearly marked out. The side trip to Sibenik and the St James Cathedral there is fantastic. Our guide knew so much about this UNESCO World Heritage Church and it was great to hear all of it. The baptismal downstairs is also really lovely. Sibenik itself is a lovely town to see also.
