Neretva and Old Narona Day Trip from Split
This journey takes you to the Neretva river which flows through Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. You will be able to enjoy the beauty of the Neretva valley from a traditional boat called a “lađa”, followed by an optional lunch at konoba Buđoni, where the more adventurous diner can sample freshly caught local frogs and eels, as well as more traditional fare. After lunch, you will visit the archaeological museum at Old Narona in the village of Vid. This museum is built on the ruins of an old Roman temple. A relatively compact museum which is full of very well preserved artifacts: Roman statues, an extensive coin collection, ancient glass products, mosaics, erotic designs and a Roman doctor's bag in perfect condition.
