About this activity
This is how your day in Plitvice Lakes will look like:
Join a full day tour to the admirable Plitvice Lakes National Park, an UNESCO site. Starting from Split or Trogir early in the morning, enjoy a pleasant ride to the park during which English speaking tour guide will share with you interesting stories of Croatia and information of the park. Upon arrival, prepare yourself for sightseeing of the whole park area accompanied by your tour guide, including walking and hiking through the nature so make sure to have comfortable shoes. Surrounded by heavily forested national park, 16 crystalline lakes tumble into each other via a series of waterfalls and cascades creating this fascinating creation. On the way back, you will have the opportunity to taste typical simple dishes in a restaurant (own expense).

This is how your day in Bosnia and Herzegovina will look like:
Starting from Split or Trogir, join tour to Mostar and Medjugorje and immerse yourself in the intriguing history and culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Stop for coffee (own expense) at the walled town of Počitelj, and then arrive in Mostar, dubbed the ‘window on the Orient,’ for its Turkish culture. Take a 1-hour walking tour, delving into the pretty streets and Old Bazaar, and seeing the 17th-century mosque and stunning,16th-century Turkish bridge (Stari Most) arching steeply over the river. Afterward, enjoy free time to yourself, perhaps savoring a Bosnian lunch of cevapi (sausages in bread) or burek (pastry-encased mincemeat). Next, continue to Medjugorje, one of Europe’s best-known pilgrimage centers. Get free time to explore this spiritual place, where children reported seeing the Virgin Mary in 1981, perhaps visiting Apparition Hill, where the visions reputedly occurred, and seeing other monuments. Alternatively, visit the nearby Kravice Waterfall, a stunning waterfall that gushes into a blue-green, forest-fringed lake. Admire the scenery and enjoy an optional swim before returning to Split or Trogir, where your tour finishes at the starting point.

*A current valid passport is required on the day of travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
