About this activity
This is a tour of the oldest, most historical, and most haunted part of St. Louis. It departs from the Morgan Street Brewery and ends at the former home of Dr. Wilson where you will learn his haunted story. You'll then walk to Rue Royal to hear a story about the De Labrierre family and the strange death that occurred at that location. Next, you'll go to Commerce Street to hear about the famous dual on Bloody Island, the Lemp family brewery history, and the Eads bridge, along with the origins of certain clever phrases from the day. You'll then walk west back to Rue Royal, hearing a story about the headless Indian boy who haunts the Eads bridge. A story about the famous exorcism will also be told, which was the true life story basis for the movie "The Exorcist". You'll end on Claymorgan Alley, the most haunted place in St. Louis where you'll learn about the Cholera epidemic as well as a couple of colorful local figures.

You will get a history lesson as well as lots of cool information about local people and local ghosts that have inhabited the landing for centuries. This is not so much a scary tour as history and great storytelling. It is suitable for the entire family including middle schoolers who particularly seem to enjoy it.

Discounts on food and drinks are available to tour participants at the Morgan Street Brewery before and following the tour.
