Stockholm Archipelago Full Day Tour

We’ll travel by ferry boat and experience a good stretch of the beautiful coastal region. After lunch on the boat we’ll arrive to the unique Archipelago island of Möja about 3,5 hours outside of Stockholm. Once there we will continue by bicycle going south along the island. On the way we will pay a visit to a charming art gallery, Skärgårdsgalleriet that specializes in outstanding artwork and handicraft from the area. If we are lucky we’ll also meet the owners who are from the island and can let us in on some interesting tales and funny anecdotes from the island.
We plan to visit a few picturesque harbors along the way with their fishing boats and enchanting red boat sheds. There will be time to take some great photos as well as soak in some of the islands special atmosphere. As the tour continues south along a small country road through the island and we will enjoy the wonderful natural surroundings with its untouched shoreline and wild Swedish forests.
Finally we will arrive in the enchanting little fishing village of Berg where we will visit the local church and try a typical Swedish “fika” (coffee with a cinnamon bun). From here we will take the boat back to Stockholm and wind down from a full days of adventure and new experiences.
This tour is a once in a lifetime experience that will stay with you for a long time and I will make sure you’ll enjoy every minute of it! Along the way I will give you information about the area we are passing and let you in on some historical trivia and local traditional tales. Life out on the islands is a world apart from the city life of Stockholm. If you visit Stockholm you haven’t really been there unless you pay a visit to the unique archipelago that surrounds it.
At the end of the trip you will receive a digital photo album of your experience to remind you forever what a wonderful time you had!
Costs for boat fare (24 € round trip), bike rentals (10 €/bike), food and drink are not included in the price. It’s preferable to get a public transport card (SL card) before departure. There are different versions you can choose from depending on your needs. For example, a rechargeable card where you pay for each trip or one-day or 3-day cards. To save time on the way back, we will try to take the bus a part of the way.
Where and when will we meet?
We usually meet at 07:45 am in front of the entrance of The Grand Hotel, Södra Blasieholmshamnen 8. This is near the harbor where the boats depart. We need to specify the meeting time in detail as the boat timetables differ from time to time.
If you're staying in Stockholm City and at a reasonable close distance to the boat, I can pick you up at your hotel for a small extra charge.
What shall I bring?
Bring clothes and shoes for the occasion. You could bring lunch if you prefer not to purchase the lunch offered on the boat.
