About this activity
After meeting your guide and completing a short training, you will start the fascinating tour in which you will be able to see the main sights of interest in Stockholm.
Leaving the island of Riddarholmen, you will head to to Skeppsholmen Island, where a magnificent view of the Old Town opens up. The next spot awaiting you to discover its wonders is Blasieholmen Island. Here, you will see the place where the first Nobel Prize Award Ceremony was held in 1901. After that, you will take an enjoyable ride on the most luxurious street, Strandvägen, and learn where the richest and most famous Swedes live.

We had a wonderful time on our Tour on Wheels. The location is quite a distance from the cruise port, so we jumped on a Hop-On-Hop-off bus to reach the starting point. We were thinking we would also stop at other points of interest on the way back. But morning traffic caused delays, and the route was round-about, so we were 20 minutes late. We called to report that we were delayed, and left a voice mail. We expected to be disappointed on arrival, but our guide was waiting for us THANK YOU for your flexibility! and gave us the complete tour! This probably would not have been possible, were we not the only people booked at that time slot. The tour had just the right amount of commentary, history and explanation vs free time for taking in the surroundings! Go prepared: it was unusually cold this year in all of Northern Europe, so we were glad we bundled up and took gloves! A side note: We've ridden three different types of self-balancing scooters now, on three different continents. This was the lightest, but was easy to operate and apropos for the terrain. I encourage more seniors to give these a try. It allows one to see sights w/o hours of walking. You don't need to be an athlete. It almost becomes second-nature to operate it and every guide we have encountered has put safety first!
