About this activity
Make your own way to the tour starting point in Victoria, central London, to meet your guide and group. Hop aboard a climate-controlled vehicle and journey from the city into the English countryside.

Begin with a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare, roughly two hours away. Explore the medieval market town and the half-timbered house where the legendary bard was born. Learn about Shakespeare's family from a fascinating collection of artifacts and experience how his extraordinary work is still relevant today.

Shakespeare’s Schoolroom. See where the iconic English writer spent his school years in this fascinating trip to Shakespeare’s Schoolroom. Explore where it all started for the playwright, before he moved to London to bring his plays to the stage.

Continue to Anne Hathaway’s Cottage & Gardens. See this historical English home — a thatched farmhouse containing original Tudor furniture — where Shakespeare courted his former bride. Meander the cottage’s gardens and grounds overflowing with fragrant blooms and traditional shrubs.

Complementary lunch pack included. Sit down to a box lunch aboard your vehicle and gaze out at the rolling hills and storybook villages as you ride through the Cotswolds, a designated "Area of Natural Beauty."

Stop for photo opportunities in three of the region's prettiest villages, including Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water, often described as the “Little Venice.”

After a day of sightseeing, arrive back in London at roughly 6:30pm. Your tour then concludes with a drop-off at the original start point.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Simon, was fantastic. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and entertaining. The Cotswolds is a cute and quaint area--definitely worth leaving London to see. The only disappointment about this tour is that it does not go to Holy Trinity Church, Shakespeare's place of burial.

Our guide Ivan and driver Maurice were superb. We had the best time. Ivan was very helpful, caring and punctual. It was a day well spent. Stratford upon Avon visit was a dream come true. We enjoyed Shakespear's School the most!!

Beautiful area, really bad tour and guide. Golden tours is extremely disorganized, the tour itself was pretty awful, Our guide Geoff seemed angry that he actually had to lead a tour! Beautiful area, too bad we couldn't have had a better experience.

I wish these trips were with just a little smaller group. Would maybe spend a little less time in the Cotswolds villages, and more time in Stratford-upon-Avon, but overall, very enjoyable.

Great trip. Wish it had lasted longer and had more time in investigate, especially in Stratford-upon-Avon. Tony, the guide is wonderful. Full of knowledge and very helpful. Would take another tour with him. Thanks for a memorable trip.
