About this activity

Welcome to Strevi, beautiful medieval village close to Acqui Terme in Monferrato, Piedmont.

Marenco Winery is a part of the history of this beautiful area.

After 100 years of activity, this historic Company is managed today by sisters Michela, Doretta and Patrizia, who succeeded their father Giuseppe. They are supported by Dr. Giovanni Costa, Michael’s husband and director. Even young sons Andrea and Edoardo are committed to successfully continue in the family business, adding a contemporary and innovative vision to skilled traditions.

Today Marenco’s property extends to about 100 hectares in the "Alto Monferrato" (upper district). Vineyards are cultivated with a regard for the time-honoured past alongside constant attention to sustainable agriculture practices and reduced impact on the environment.

Their great attention to quality has proven to be successful with Marenco wines long appreciated in Italy and also now recognized abroad, in the USA, Japan, Korea, Switzerland and France.

A major renovation of the historic wine cellar, with a spacious tasting room and wine shop, was completed in 2012 to accommodate and give the growing number of wine-lovers the best welcome possible.

The wines produced represent the territory, aromatics as Moscato DOCG and Brachetto DOCG; Albarossa a clone created crossing Nebbiolo and Barbera in 1938, Dolcetto di Acqui DOC and Barbera di Asti DOCG

The route winds through all stages of production, from the vineyard to the glass and ends with tasting of three representetive wines.

Since spring 2016 one of the famous UNESCO giant bench is located in the Marenco's farm, visitors could admire the beautiful landscape sitting on the bench, enjoying a glass of Moscato, yellow as the bench!
