1-Night Great Sandy National Park from Noosa or Rainbow Beach
Day 1: Noosa or Rainbow Beach – Campsite
After pickup by shuttle bus in Noosa or Rainbow Beach, your adventure begins with a 4WD transfer through the Cooloola area of Great Sandy National Park.
Arrive at your campsite by the river and meet the camp coordinator, who shows you the ins and outs of the campsite. Your camp will be ready and waiting for you to settle in straight away.
Then, grab lunch prior to hopping back in the 4WD to Harry's Hut before getting on the water. In a canoe, paddle upstream through ancient landscapes and sub-tropical rainforest scenery. Soak up the tranquil environment and go for a swim, if you wish.
If you're feeling up for it, you can also hike to the top of the Cooloola Sand Patch, which, at a height of 725 feet (221 meters), is the largest coastal sand dune in Australia. Marvel at the views before hiking back down to meet your guide and return to camp.
Settle in for a night around the campfire, toasting marshmallows.
Day 2: Return to Noosa or Rainbow Beach
Wake up with the native wildlife after your night at Elanda Point, and enjoy a hot shower and riverside breakfast. Relax for a bit in this wilderness area before leaving the campsite on the return transfer to Noosa or Rainbow Beach.
Please note: You can return to your pickup point or the opposite destination; just advise at the time of booking if you want to be picked up in Noosa and dropped off in Rainbow Beach (or vice versa). Your luggage can be stored, as well, if needed.
